An applicant for regular undergraduate admission to Yonsei University must be a graduate of an accredited high school or pass the government high school equivalency examination.
The detailed information on that year's admission procedure is publicized through the mass media. Application forms are distributed for a fee. Completed from the applicant's high school must be delivered to th Office of Admission within the prescribed period.
All applicants must take the entrance examinations prepared by the Korean Government Ministry of Education and the University each year, including an oral interview on a day arranged by th University. In addition to the entrance examination, applicants are granted admission on the basis of the records of their Scholastic Aptitude Tests and their high school records.
Foreign students who have completed high school(twelve grades) or equivalent, who are judged to have an adequate command of Korean language may be admitted. The entrance examination includes a written examination, oral interview and review of academic achievement record from high school.

A graduates of Yonsei University with a non-nursing degree may be admitted to the junior year of nursing program.
The College of Nursing offers an opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree to nurses who graduated from 3 year junior colleges, This 2 year program utilizes self-directed learning methods. The students are admitted to the junior year of the students who can be admitted each year is 80. The program is offers during the evening hours to accomodate the students work schedule. Applicants to this program must be graduates from a 3 year junior college and have a nurse's license. Entrance examination in English, nursing, and an interview are usually heal in January. The exact date and procedure is announced in several major newspapers.
Full time students at the College of Nursing can attend sister colleges abroad for a limitded time and can transfer the credits. The College of Nursing has a sister relationship with the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in the United States. Yonsei University also has exchange programs with many prestigious universities in the United States, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, the Soviet Union, and England.
